The images showed a stunning sunrise amid which a giant cloud floated above Turkey, with a hole in the middle of the cloud giving it a UFO-like appearance. Twitter user Byron J. Lenticular Clouds Usually Form At Heights Of 2,000-5,000 metres
The images and clips quickly went viral as users started calling the cloud a UFO when Turkey’s state Meteorological Service explained that the images captured a "lenticular cloud." Lenticular clouds are known for their round, UFO-like appearance. Usually, these clouds can be formed at heights between 2,000 and 5,000 meters.
People had mixed reactions to the donut-like cloud online. One user wrote, "Fascinating," seemingly sceptical of the phenomenon.
